Kasabian Summer Solstice II

MUSIC fans will be heading to Leicester this weekend to enjoy the return of Kasabian to Victoria Park, with support from Kaiser Chiefs, Everything Everything and more!

The Summer Solstice II show – which takes place on Saturday 6 July – follows the band’s first major gig in the park ten years ago.

The massive open-air concert, organised by Live Nation, is expected to attract around 35,000 visitors – and that means that Leicester’s roads and car parks will be busier than normal.

Great News! The FREE HOP! bus service will be running an extended service on Saturday (6 July) with a temporary bus stop on Tigers Way, just before the junction of Lancaster Road, for passengers travelling to and from the Kasabian concert. Hop! buses will run every 10 minutes until 11.30pm. There will be limited regular bus services operating after the event and people are advised to check bus timetables in advance.

If you are heading towards Evington or City Centre for onwards travel, you can pick up our 22E service on Evington Road/London Road - The 22E departs Charles Street at 22:05 and 23:05 to Evington, and 22:45 from Evington Road into City Centre.

Doors open at 3.30pm with the music starting from 5.40pm. The event is due to finish at 10.30pm. The line-up is:

  • Kasabian: 8.50pm
  • Kaiser Chiefs: 7.35pm
  • Everything Everything: 6.35pm
  • Master Peace: 5.40pm

There will be bars selling alcoholic and soft drinks, and concession units offering a wide variety of hot and cold food including vegan and gluten-free options. There will be dedicated water refill points around the venue where you can refill your water bottles. What more could you ask for!
