There has been considerable public outcry over the cutting back of the service, which was as a result of the withdrawal of funding by Leicestershire County Council.  A number of local councillors have been campaigning for reinstatement, but at the Council executive meeting recently, the Council upheld its decision and there are no plans to reinstate the service.
